Presidential Homes

While I'm not planning on visiting every presidential home or birthplace, I would like to travel to Virginia to see some of the founding fathers' homes.

I remember Mt. Vernon, George Washington's home, from a school trip I took in the 6th grade. I was fascinated by what I saw.

One day it would be fun to take a history trip to Virginia to re-visit Mt. Vernon,

as well as Thomas Jefferson's Monticello,

James Madison's Montpelier

and James Monroe's Ash-Lawn Highland.

I think this is something my history-buff husband and president-loving son would thoroughly enjoy.
