To Nanny's House We Went

For two days it was nice to not think about what I needed to clean at home or what I was going to fix for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

That's because the children and I spent some time at the hubby's mom and step-dad's house (aka Nanny and Papa O).

They live about an hour away from us, and it was a fun visit for all.

We left Thursday morning in time for baby girl to nap while I drove. We spent the day at the pool, then made baked apples I read about on a blog the day before. The children played on the back porch that evening while the rest of us sat there enjoying a cold beer.

What a good helper

The mild temps made the porch a great evening spot

On Friday, the little boy wanted to play at a park. Nanny knew of one across town with multiple playgrounds.

This was a large playground at the back of the park

This truck was one of the many wooden transportation pieces throughout the park. It's so much fun to pretend to drive!

We returned home this morning where plenty of housework awaited me. The little boy, on the other hand, had some fun in the rain.
