Not Much Going on Around Here

There was no CSA pickup today at the farm. That's good because I still have plenty from the past two weeks.

There hasn't been too much going on the past few days for us either.

It's worth mentioning two children's books we read today. "The Wretched Stone" by Chris Van Allsburg and "Tickle Day Poems from Father Goose" by Charles Ghigna are two books we picked up at our local library.

The first book reads as if from a diary of a sailor at sea. It was a different and fantastic way to tell a story.

The latter book is filled with wonderful poems. I've always wanted to learn to read poetry properly, but couldn't quite get the hang of it. I've found that children's poetry is a good way to understand the flow of a poem.

I'll share the ending poem titled: A Poem Is a Little Path

A poem is a little path
That leads you through the trees.
It takes you to the cliffs and shores,
To anywhere you please.

Follow it and trust your way
With mind and heart as one,
And when the journey's over,
You'll find you've just begun.
